Light a luminary for loss

Members of the community are invited to join a celebration of babies.

Gianna’s Light will host its second annual Candlelight Memorial to remember babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy or neonatal death during National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day Oct. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Green in Canfield.

Participants will light candles from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and become part of the worldwide Wave of Light which hopes to bring awareness to this tragedy and bring families closer together.

There will also be music, a name reading of babies lost and a luminary lighting in their honor.

In the event of inclement weather, the candle lighting will take place at Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St. in Canfield.
