Career center hosts back-to-school picnic

Neighbors | Shaiyla Hakeem .To welcome students back to school, the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center held its annual back-to-school picnic Sept. 10. Students enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit and cookies.

Summer vacation is over and school is back in session.

The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center hosted its annual back-to-school picnic Sept. 10 for new and returning students. Following a morning assembly welcoming the students, they were treated to a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, fruit and cookies in the school’s aviation wing.

The picnic lasted from 12:30 p.m. until the end of the school day. In addition to the cookout, students participated in various games and activities outside. Some played a competitive game of basketball, while others participated in balloon tosses and sack races.
