Huntington Bank adds 24-hour grace period for overdrafts

Huntington Bank announced Thursday that the company will introduce a new 24-Hour Grace account feature to give customers additional time during the next business day to cover overdrafts to their consumer bank accounts.

Huntington will automatically waive overdraft fees as long as the customer makes a deposit during the following business day to resolve the overdraft status.

24-Hour Grace will be free and available to all Huntington consumer- banking customers beginning Monday.

The new feature responds to research showing U.S. consumers’ desire to increase their savings and make their money work harder for them.
