Annie Mineo and Caylin Hayes scored for Youngstown Christian with Rashida Strozier adding an assist in a 2-2 tie with Columbiana in a girls soccer match on Thursday.

Courtney Frenger and Sara Saverko scored for the Clippers.

Grove City 3, Kennedy Catholic 0

HERMITAGE, PA.

Aubri McCoy scored twice and McKenzie Fagan once for Grove City.

Katelyn Williams made eight saves for GC.

Late Wednesday Boardman 5, Lake 2

BOARDMAN

Senior Heather Hughes and freshman Nikki Hillard each had two goals and an assist for Boardman (4-1, 2-0) in a Federal League game.

Kayleigh Huck also scored and Bryanna Flak had an assist. Hailey Dickey made 10 saves.

For Lake, Rachael Bernardo and Kristen Conti each scored, Emily Bonnene had an assist and Casey Tisdale made 12 saves.

JVs: Boardman 2-0.

Boys Portersville 6, Heartland Christian 1

COLUMBIANA

Owen Stryffeler scored the lone goal for Heartland (3-2), while Ryan Benner and Drew Fountain combined on the save.

Justin Santero, Tyler Harbison, Jacob Ziegler and Joel Graham scored for Portersville, which took a 4-0 lead after 10 minutes.

Late Wednesday Boardman 2, Lake 1

Christian Silvestri’s scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the final 10 minutes.

Silvestri also assisted on Boardman’s other goal off the head of Nico Graziani on a first half corner kick.

Anthony Calutti made six saves for the Spartans (3-3-1, 1-0 Federal).
