Career center hosts back-to-school picnic

Summer vacation is over and school is back in session.
The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center hosted its annual back-to-school picnic Sept. 10 for new and returning students. Following a morning assembly welcoming the students, they were treated to a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, fruit and cookies in the school’s aviation wing.
The picnic lasted from 12:30 p.m. until the end of the school day. In addition to the cookout, students participated in various games and activities outside. Some played a competitive game of basketball, while others participated in balloon tosses and sack races.
MCCTC is has more than 740 students enrolled from various communities in the Valley.
