Fundraiser will make dreams come true for those with MS
WARREN
“Fall Over Laughing,” a comedy night featuring Sandi Selvi, national multiple sclerosis comedienne and author of “Won’t Do Standup in a Wheelchair,” has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at Sorrento’s Banquet Hall, 2488 Parkman Road NW, Warren.
In addition to the comedy, the evening will include a buffet dinner, Chinese auction, 50-50 drawing and a cash bar.
The evening is the first major fundraiser to be sponsored by MS Dreams, a nonprofit organization started by David Serotko, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2006, to make dreams come true for those with MS.
Tickets for the event are $40. To become a sponsor or volunteer, or for tickets or more information contact www.msdreams.org. Donated items will be appreciated for the Chinese auction.
The organization is in the running to receive a grant from Pepsi Refresh Project in the amount of $25,000. Residents can help the organization receive the grant by casting a vote each day at http://www.refresheverything.com/multiplesclerosisdreams or by texting 101259 to 73774 on your facebook page.
