Canfield boys soccer gets another shutout

CANFIELD

The Canfield boys soccer team remains undefeated and unscored upon following a 2-0 win over Lakeview Tuesday.

Goals were scored by sophomore Dylan Seybert and senior Michael De Rose, while Tony El-Hayek had an assist for the Cardinals (5-0-0).

Canfield goalie Mike Thomas, architect of his team’s shutout streak, had four saves, while Canfield out-shot Lakeview, 21-6. Lakeview keeper Evan Olbrych had 10 saves.

JVs: Canfield, 2-1.

Hubbard 2, Poland 0

POLAND

Poland took 12 shots on goal, while Hubbard took seven.

Hubbard had 12 saves to Poland’s five.

JVs: Hubbard 5, Poland 1.

West Branch 7, Northwest 2

BELOIT

Cody Criss had two goals, while Timothy Frankhouser, Matt Latham, Austen Rekolt, Dylan Fotheringham and Robert Brand had one apiece for the Warriors (1-6).

Frankhouser also had three assists for the Warriors, while Gary Bageley had two.

Zach Massengale and Chuma Roberts scored for Northwest.

JVs: West Branch, 2-1.

Kennedy Catholic 2, Sharpsville 0

Sharpsville, Pa.

Rachel Burns punched in both goals for Kennedy Catholic, one assisted by Anna Benson. Sarah Ritchey saved six shots in the shutout for the Lady Eagles (3-2).
