7 Austintown properties declared nuisances

Austintown

Township trustees have declared seven properties public nuisances.

The board on Monday cited the properties under an Ohio Revised Code section that states that trustees “may provide for the abatement, control or removal of vegetation, garbage, refuse and other debris from land in the township” if it is determined a nuisance.

“That’s pretty standard on the agenda lately because of all the vacancies and foreclosures,” said Trustee Lisa Oles.

Properties at the following locations were declared nuisances: 3815 Kirk Road, 1508 South Meridian Road, 3710 Mahoning Ave., 4720 Mahoning Ave., 1317 Bexley Drive, 111 Rosemont Ave. and 116 Rosemont Ave.
