Rich Center for Autism needs votes to win a grant

YOUNGSTOWN

The Rich Center for Autism, on the campus of Youngstown State University, in cooperation with the CreativeBridge Coalition, has been selected to participate in this month’s Pepsi Refresh Everything Challenge.

The challenge, an online contest, allows all computer users to have a voice in determining the selection of a worthy project to receive a $250,000 grant.

Voters can help the Rich Center acquire the grant and fulfill the dream of hundreds of children with autism in the Mahoning Valley by voting during September for the “Autism in Harmony” project, a five-year program of music therapy, community outreach and joint research projects involving YSU and The Music Settlement in Cleveland.

To vote for “Autism in Harmony,” go to http://www.refresheverything.com/autisminharmony, select “Vote for this Idea,” and cast a vote once a day until Sept. 30.

The project with the most votes will win the grant.
