Poland trustees approve purchase of police cars for 2011
POLAND — Township trustees approved the purchase of two police cruisers, as long as the total cost is no more than $45,000.
Police Chief Brian Goodin said at tonight's meeting that the department will buy two Ford Crown Victoria models before the end of this year. He said law enforcement vehicles will transition to Ford Taurus models in 2012.
The funds for the cars will come out of next year’s budget, said Joseph Granitto, township clerk-treasurer.
