National Assisted Living Week is celebrated this week Here is a rundown of public events at Shepherd of the Valley communities in Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., and Poland, 301 W. Western Reserve Road.

Niles

Monday: noon, special kick-off lunch.

Tuesday: 6:30 p.m., pizza party with the musical stylings of Steve Fazzini.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., resident art show.

Friday: 2:30 p.m., The 60-member Seraphim Chorus will perform.

Poland

Today: 2 p.m., pet visits with Animal Charity; 7 p.m., “A Tribute to George Burns,”

Tuesday: 2 p.m., ventriloquist Cindy & Friends,

Wednesday: 7 p.m., The Country Cloggers dancing troupe.

Thursday: 7 p.m., The Jim Frank Trio.

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., fall craft show, with 30-plus vendors.
