GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced


MONDAY

Hitchcock Woods will meet at 7:30 p.m. for a program on honeybees by John Beilhart. Janine Tareshawty is program coordinator, Shirley Dibson is hostess, and Sharon Rich is co-hostess.

TUESDAY

Moccasin will meet for a “Gourds and Baskets” program by Liz Andraiso. Vickie Bell and Leah Masselli are co-hostesses. A donation of canned foods will be collected for Emmanuel House.

New Bedford will take a road trip to Buhl Mansion at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner and meeting at a local restaurant. Roll call will be a fresh apple.

WEDNESDAY

Daisy Dozen will meet at 6 p.m. at the home of Carol Vechiarelli, 7900 Walnut St., Unit 19, Boardman, for a kolachi demonstration by Carol McBride, and a light supper. Hostesses will be Vechiarelli, McBride and Loretta Morgione.

St. Michael Garden Guild will meet at 7 p.m. at the parish hall with Doe Gallagher presiding. Members are asked to take items for an auction to be conducted by Claudia Dirienzo. Tickets are 10 for $5. Hostesses will be Nancy Price and Carol Cartwright. Guests are welcome.

THURSDAY

Coitsville will have a Scottish pastries dinner at a time to be announced.

Johnny Appleseed will have a program by Wild Birds Unlimited at 7 p.m. at the home of Pat Kubiac. The co-hostess will be Ginny Gaskeen, and the door prize will be provided by Robin Eisenbrei.

SATURDAY

Sunflower will have a program on composting. The hostess will be Carolyn Williams.

Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
