Fitch prepares to induct 12 more athletes into Hall of Fame

AUSTINTOWN

The third annual Austintown Fitch Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will be on Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd.

Inductees will be first honored at Friday’s home football game against Canton McKinley.

Inductees are: William B. Knight (posthumously), 1940, football, basketball and track; Frank Harbol (posthumously), 1946 football and basketball; Robert Conger (posthumously), 1949, football, basketball, track, baseball; Skip Getch, 1958, football, basketball, track; Bill Martin, 1959, football and track; Paul Cercel, 1960, football and track; Robert Goldner, Jr., 1961, basketball; Bob “Tucker” Frederick (posthumously) 1969, football, basketball, track, baseball; Gary Ulicney, 1970, football, wrestling; Jennifer (Rodkey) Stearman, 1992 basketball, softball; Phil Resch, head coach, wrestling; Gene Chepke, benefactor; 1958 football team.
