Eminem set to open MTV video awards

LOS ANGELES

Eminem, who’s nominated for eight trophies in the MTV Video Music Awards, will open Sunday’s ceremony at the Nokia Theatre. An enveloping stage design will include a giant rotating billboard, curvy catwalk, circular performance space and two video screens that will serve as curtains. The undulating space required about 2,000 seats to be removed.
