Pa. man charged with firing on W.Va. man’s car
CLAYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man is facing aggravated assault charges after police say he fired on another motorist during a road rage altercation.
Police say 26-year-old Blair George Jr. pulled a handgun and fired one to three shots Thursday afternoon at a car carrying men from West Virginia and Ohio during a dispute on Interstate 70 in Buffalo Township, Washington County. No injuries were reported.
State police say the Uniontown man got out of his car and fired at driver Chad Schlag, of Wheeling, W.Va., before fleeing the scene. Officers arrested George later and recovered a handgun from his car. George is being held on $500,000 bail.
George’s father said that the other driver tried to run his son off the road and threatened him with a pipe before George opened fire. Schlag is not facing charges.
