Pa. man charged in jogger’s death can go to Tenn.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A western Pennsylvania judge says a man accused of killing woman with his car as she pushed her children in a stroller can leave the state to attend college while he awaits trial.

Twenty-year-old Benjamin Cope does not have to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet after Thursday’s decision by an Allegheny County judge granting his request to return to classes at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.

The Mt. Lebanon man faces vehicular homicide charges in the death of 36-year-old Lisa Styles.

Police say Cope was under the influence of marijuana when the SUV he was driving struck Styles on June 28 as she pushed her two young children in a stroller. The children were unhurt.
