Awards-show video to showcase Cruze

DETROIT

This week’s coming-out party for the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze will culminate at 9 p.m. Sunday at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Chevy has partnered with the musical group N.E.R.D. and music artist Ciara to produce a customized version of N.E.R.D.’s “Hot-n-Fun” video. The Chevrolet video, set at a 1950s-vintage drive-in movie theater, will feature old and new Chevrolet cars and trucks. The product integration partnership with MTV is designed to showcase the all-new Cruze and the Chevrolet brand.

Job expo at Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN

The Oh-Penn Interstate Region Job Expo will take place Wednesday at the Covelli Centre from noon to 5 p.m. Nearly 80 employers from Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties, as well as Pennsylvania’s Lawrence and Mercer counties, will be on site with immediate job openings in a variety of industries. Positions will be available for workers of all skill levels, including technical, professional, skilled and general labor. Job-training organizations and financial-aid specialists also will be on site, and computers will be available for attendees to browse state job-matching websites.

The event also will feature four workshops, which will cover topics such as starting your own business, job- seeking advice for youths and young adults and interview strategies and attire.
