Who are the moochers?
Who are the moochers?
Hey, all of you unemployed people, did you know that you are lazy and a bunch of moochers? That’s what the Republicans in Congress call you. These are the same people who oppose Wall Street reform, want to extend Bush’s tax cuts for the filthy rich, and opposed and delayed extending benefits for you so-called moochers. Now, if that doesn’t make you want to get these idiots out of office or from winning any seats in November, I don’t know what will.
Democrats don’t think that you are lazy moochers, and if the Republicans don’t think that the economic plan is working, then they should get off their butts and come to the Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Jobs are being created, businesses are expanding, and with Lordstown making the best cars in the country (buy American) things are starting to look up.
A 9.5 percent unemployment is way too high, but if we go back to the Bush years when he and his majority of Republicans totally screwed up this country financially and morally, then we can expect more of the rich get richer and the poor and middle class (there isn’t much difference) get poorer.

Good Samaritans still exist
A few weeks ago we were on our way to Mill Creek Park to walk our dogs. On Midlothian Boulevard, I turned at the intersection of Midlothian and Glenwood and hit something that immediately blew the back tire out. Within minutes two young men came to our aid. A few minutes later another joined. They helped us locate the jack (I have an SUV) and finally figured out how to jack the car up. In all of the confusion, it finally dawned upon me to call Onstar, but it was comforting to know those young men were there to help. I have since tried to find them, but have not been able to do so as of yet. Thus, thank you, young men.
This does not end my story. Last week my car got hit while I was in Wal-Mart. The person who hit it did not stop, but someone was kind enough to leave the license number of the car that hit me under my windshield wiper. Thank you to them as well.
Our world focuses so much on the negative. I thought it would be nice to focus on the good.
Good Samaritans, you have renewed my faith in society.
