Girard girls defeat Liberty

LIBERTY

Lyndsey Crown had nine kills and three blocks, leading Girard to a 25-9, 25-12, 25-13 victory over rival Liberty in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday.

Alex Doran had 13 assists and three aces and Mary Burt had 11 points with three aces for Girard (3-1, 1-0 AAC White). Liberty is 1-2, 0-1.

Western Reserve 25-25-26, Sebring 10-20-24

BERLIN CENTER

Casey Stevens had 15 points, six aces, three kills, 19 assists and 11 digs for Western Reserve (4-2).

Hannah Shrader had 14 points, six aces, eight kills and seven blocks and Sissy Stubbs had four points, two aces, 11 kills, five digs and two blocks.

For Sebring (0-5), Taylor Nannah had nine points, three aces, four kills and seven digs and Taylor Ward had four kills.

NORTH JACKSON

Shawntae Dillard had 13 kills and two blocks to lead Wellsville (3-0), while Noelle Amato had 14 points, seven aces and 23 assists.

Colleen Maskarinec had 19 points, two aces, 13 kills and six blocks for J-M (1-4, 0-1 ITCL Tier Two). Maddie Griffiths added 19 points, four aces, 13 kills and 19 assists.

Lordstown 25-25-25, Bloomfield 9-16-15

LORDSTOWN

Heather Darocha had six aces and 10 kills, Allyson Hajnosz had 17 serves and 17 assists and Sarah Cash had one block for Lordstown (3-2, 3-0 NAC).

For Bloomfield, Sage Baker had 12 serves, one kill and two blocks and Kourtney Barnhart had one ace and one kill. JVs: Lordstown 25-12, 25-16.

Springfield 26-22-25-25, East Palestine 24-25-20-13

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Springfield (4-1) had 36 kills, and were led in the category by Brooke Schrieber with 20.

Jessica Evan had 37 assists, and Kelsey Larson had 19 points.

The Bulldogs (3-3) were led by Carly Blair with 17 digs, and Ashley Morris with 11 kills.

BOARDMAN

Amanda Volosin had 16 assists and 28 points for the Spartans.

Teammate Stephanie Sfara had 12 kills and eight digs.

Britney Weidenthal had 13 assists for Fitch, and Kacie Roche had eight digs.

Olivia Wood had 16 points and six aces for the Vikings (2-1) and Courtney Aldridge had 12 kills.

Chelsea Boley had six digs, 18 assists and four kill for Lisbon, while Kenadee Pezzano had 20 digs, five kills and one ace.

Katie Fife led the Rams with 14 kills and nine blocks, and Abby Riffee had seven points, three aces and 35 digs.

Sam Melius had 20 points and nine aces, and Danielle Lee had 10 points, eight aces and seven assists for Campbell.

CORTLAND

Lakeview (4-0) was led by senior Becca Calvin, who had 42 assists, 16 digs, two blocks and an ace. Teammate Marissa Naples, a freshman, had 12 kills, eight points, three blocks and a pair of aces.

Hubbard’s (0-1) Dawn Lingenfelter had 30 digs and two aces.

Sarah McCulley had 24 points and 13 aces to guide the Mustangs (3-1) and Julie Spadafora had 23 assists.

HOWLAND

The Quakers (4-1) got 28 assists and two kills from Laura Brown, and 25 kills and five aces from Mariah Halleck (15, 1) and Cassie Davidson (10, 4). Alexis Smith had six kills and two blocks.

Nia Grant’s 18 kills and 10 digs led the Tigers (3-2) and Kaylee Redon added 10 kills and eight digs. Teammates Morgan Alden and Elena Rounsley had 12 digs and 34 assists, respectively.
