Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Road, Champion, will have a rotisserie chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. today. In addition to the quarter chicken there will be four sides, rolls and dessert. The cost is $7 for adults. Meals for children 4 through 10 with chicken tenders are $4. Those 3 and under eat free. THURSDAY
Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners include a baked chicken breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meal to your car. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s menu will feature soy sauce pork chop and five-spice beef (not hot spice). The cost of the meal is $5. No reservations are necessary.
VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.
FRIDAY
American Legion F.D.R. Post 560 is sponsoring a fish/shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. at the post hall, 103 12th St., Campbell. The cost for adults is $7, and for children 12 and under, it’s $4. Included in the meals are french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, haluski, bread and butter. Desserts and beverages are available. Takeouts will be available. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided. This will be the last sale until September.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Ohio Route 193, Fowler, will have chicken pie dinners for sale from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The prices are $8 for adults, $4 for ages 6-12, and free for preschoolers. Lake Milton Presbyterian Church will have its annual chicken barbecue and rummage sale at 942 Grandview Road in Lake Milton. The rummage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the chicken will be served from 1-6 p.m. The menu will include half a chicken, cooked over an open fire, parsley potatoes, choice of side dishes, roll and butter, homemade dessert and a beverage. The donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church hall. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available; containers are 50 cents or you can provide your own.
Poland Masonic Lodge No. 766 will have a Swiss steak dinner from noon until it’s sold out. The meal includes mashed potatoes with gravy, salad, vegetables, rolls, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $9 per person.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, state Route 170, 10143 Main St. in New Middletown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. to benefit the Springfield Local High School football team. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

Champion Rotary Club will have an all-you-can-eat buffet style Amish dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Champion Presbyterian Outreach Center.
