124th Columbiana Street Fair opens Thursday
COLUMBIANA
The Columbiana Street Fair starts Thursday and runs through Saturday.
“It’s the 124th annual fair,” said David Reach, “except one year when they didn’t have it during World War II.”
The Columbiana Street Fair is run by the Benjamin Firestone Post 290 of the American Legion.
Brown’s Amusement Co. from Cortland will again provide the rides.
Reach has been involved in running the fair for 16 years. The event began as a “fall get together” with bicycle races and bingo games.
Merchants now will fill a tent 220 feet long by 40 feet wide with their products.
