Warren man arrested in Canfield on child-enticement charge
CANFIELD — A Warren man was arrested, accused of trying to coax a teenage girl into his car.
Daniel Sorvillo, 33, of Crestview Avenue was arrested Monday by Canfield police after a 13-year-old girl said he asked her to get into his vehicle, according to a police report.
The girl told police she was walking north on state Route 46 at about 1 p.m. Monday when a man waved her over and asked if she needed a ride. She then turned around and began walking on South Broad Street toward Dairy Queen.
Sorvillo was charged with criminal child enticement and taken to Mahoning County jail, where he was booked and released. He is scheduled for arraignment at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Mahoning County Area Court in Canfield in front of Judge Scott Hunter.
