HILLSBORO, ORE.

Valerie Anne Voytilla of Tigard, Ore., the daughter of George and Mary Voytilla of Struthers, and James Robert Mengis, also of Tigard, a son of Charles and Kathy Mengis of Portland, Ore., were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony that took place at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 13 in Hillsboro. Judge Eric Butterfield officiated at the ceremony.

Serving as attendants for the bride and groom were Christopher and Teryl Kangas of Beaverton, Ore.

The bride is a medical scheduler with The Children’s Clinic in Tualatin, Ore.

The groom is employed as a carpenter with Mengis Maintenance in Portland.

A postnuptial reception is being planned for a later date in Portland.
