Police investigating South Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — A 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman told police shots were fired at them early this morning.

The two were in a car on Glenwood Avenue near Evergreen Avenue on the South Side when another car opened fire around 1 a.m., police said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a bullet strike from the rear window through the front windshield, according to reports. Police are investigating.
