Giving carp some respect

Giving carp some respect

Carp, because of its noto- riously “bad” habits, has been largely ignored in the United States, both as a sport fish and family fare.

Actually, in Europe and Asia it has been cultivated as a desirable seafood and is also a high-ranking sport fish. In England, large catches are mounted and displayed.

Popularize carp here and it will solve two problems. It will eliminate the so-called “invasion” of carp and it will provide nutritious easily available seafood at affordable prices.
