Bisconti 70th celebrated at the Elm Tree

LOWELLVILLE
Friends and family members gathered at the Elm Tree in Struthers on Aug. 29 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bisconti of Lowellville on the occasion of their 70th wedding anniversary.
The former Violet Altiero and Mr. Bisconti were united in marriage on Aug. 31, 1940, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville, where they are members.
Mrs. Bisconti was a cook at Ernie’s Dairy in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1960.
Mr. Bisconti served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He also served as a eucharistic minister at his church. He retired in 1983 as a foreman at Tri-County Beer Distributor in Youngstown.
Invitations for the 4 p.m. reception were issued by the couple’s children and their spouses, Cecilia Bisconti of Boardman, Charlotte Bisconti of Lowellville, Evelyn and Frank Pisano of Poland and Nick and Michelle Bisconti of Akron. There are 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren in the family.
