Croatian Picnic at St. George center

YOUNGSTOWN

The 23rd annual Croatian Picnic will begin at noon Sunday at St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road. Barbecued lamb and chicken will be served. Call George Dubic at 330-799-8889 to pre-order. Living history day at Beaver Creek

EAST LIVERPOOL

The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park’s Pioneer Village, 12013 Echo Dell Road, will host a free living history session from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Blacksmiths, a weaver, a teacher in the one-room school, and a shopkeeper in the trading post will be in costume. Tours will be given and the gristmill will be operating.

Dana ensembles at Jewish center

The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, will begin its cultural arts series at noon Sept. 21 with a concert by the Dana School of Music Jazz Ensemble, which will perform big band favorites.
