King among Sharon champs

Sharon Speedway has announced the winners of the 6 PAK Saturday season points races.

In the big blocks, Rex King Sr. of Bristolville won his first track title since 1996, edging out Del Rougeux and Kevin Bolland.

In E-Mods, Jeff Johnson of Mineral Ridge outscored Joe Gabrielson, and Guy Griffin of Greenville, Pa. claimed the Limited Sprints title.

Also, Michael Scharba of Masury won the Hobby Stock points championship; Alan Dellinger of Hermitage, Pa. was the Pro Stocks points winner, and Jack Sodeman Jr. of North Jackson had previously been named the 410 Sprints champion.

This Saturday at Sharon Speedway will be the Labor Day Special with the American Sprint Car Series and a $1,000-to-win Open Stock special. Limited Sprints and Hobby Stocks will also be in action. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m.
