Sheriff: Peephole found in courthouse bathroom

BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies are trying to determine who drilled an apparent peephole in a bathroom at a western Pennsylvania county courthouse.

Beaver County Sheriff George David says the peephole was discovered Friday evening and authorities learned of it on Monday. David says the hole was drilled near a vent in a unisex bathroom near the adult probation office.

David said Wednesday that the hole looks out of an electrical closet used by county maintenance workers.

County commissioner Tony Amadio says other bathrooms in the courthouse have been searched but nothing suspicious was found.

Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh says county detectives are also investigating.
