Boardman, Poland battle to 0-0 tie

Alex Magni and Adam Robertson combined for four saves for Poland High, while Anthony Calautti had nine saves for Boardman as the teams battled to a 0-0 tie in a boys soccer game on Tuesday.

Ursuline 5, Columbiana 0
YOUNGSTOWN
Senior Kevin Kablan scored four goals and freshman Ricky Koewacich had one for Ursuline (1-2).
Mike Lasko and Doug Woodford added assists for the Irish, while Alex Myers made five saves.
For Columbiana, Nate Tate had 20 saves.
Badger 6, Liberty 3
Greg Foust scored twice, while Mitchell Givens and Ben Meardith each had a goal and an assist for Badger (4-0).
Ken Bolyard and Jason Lipps also had goals, while Nick Fiest, Troy Elsea and Allen Willey had assists and Tyler Lucy made one save.
For Liberty, Justin Hideg scored three goals and Ryan Halicki had 10 assists.
JVs: Howland 1, Badger 0.
Bristol 4, Bloomfield 2
NORTH BLOOMFIELD
Chad Oliver, Coty Black and Trevor Rowles each had a goal and an assist for Bristol, which rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit.
Andy Holko also scored and Brett Daniels had an assist. Lucas Chapman (three) and Cody Urso (five saves) were Bristol’s keepers.
For Bloomfield, Victor Sutton and Matt Byler scored with Matt Hennesy assisting on both.
Brandon Roby had eight saves and Paul Meyers nine.
Girls Champion 3, LaBrae 2
LEAVITTSBURG
Champion senior Marissa Walker scored all goals for the Flashes in an All-American Conference Blue Tier game.
Champion’s Hannah Day and Alyssa Mrus had one assist each.
Julie Gibson and Gabby Borawiec scored for LaBrae and Katelyn Downey assisted on Gibson’s goal.
Both Taylor Petersal and Kelsie Daniel had 12 saves each.
