“Amityville: THE FINAL TESTAMENT” (8 P.M., A&E): “Amityville: The Final Testament” confronts the questions that still surround the infamous 1974 murder case. Ronald DeFeo Jr., who was accused of killing his entire family, sits down for an interview with a psychic and “sets the record straight.”

“Desperate Housewives” (9 p.m., ABC): As Halloween approaches on “Desperate Housewives,” TV’s creepiest couple — Paul and Beth — attempt to go on a date to spice up their loveless marriage. We get the chills just thinking about it.

“The Walking Dead” (10 p.m., AMC): Here’s a Halloween treat that horror hounds and zombie nerds will find difficult to resist. Based on the acclaimed graphic-novel series by Robert Kirkman, this six- episode drama series conjures up a world overrun by reanimated, flesh-eating corpses (or “walkers”). In the opener, a deputy sheriff (Andrew Lincoln) emerges from a coma to find ghoulish chaos all around. With the help of some fellow survivors, he gets his bearings and sets out to find his missing wife and son. Soon he learns you can’t really stop these crazy zombies — you can only hope to contain ’em.
