Granger, Collison lead Pacers past 76ers

INDIANAPOLIS
Danny Granger scored 22 points and the Indiana Pacers beat the Philadelphia 76ers 99-86 in their home opener on Saturday night.
Mike Dunleavy scored 16, Darren Collison had 15 points and Roy Hibbert added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Pacers (2-1). It was Collison’s first regular-season home game since Indiana acquired him in an offseason trade.
Lou Williams scored all 18 of his points in the first half for the Sixers, who have lost their first three games under new coach Doug Collins. Elton Brand had 12 points and 10 rebounds but shot 5-for-16 from the field.
Trail Blazers 100, Knicks 95
NEW YORK
Brandon Roy scored 29 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 and the unbeaten Portland Trail Blazers rallied to spoil the New York Knicks’ home opener.
Andre Miller had 19 points and 10 assists for the Trail Blazers, who improved to 3-0 by erasing a nine-point deficit in the final 51/2 minutes. Aldridge hit the tiebreaking free throw with 25.5 seconds left, and both he and Miller made two apiece in the final half-minute.
Wilson Chandler finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds for the Knicks, who made only one field goal after taking a 92-83 lead with 5:31 remaining.
Grizzlies 109, Timberwolves 89
MEMPHIS, Tenn.
O.J. Mayo scored 29 points and the Memphis Grizzlies had a franchise-record 22 steals.
Rudy Gay added 25 points and Darrell Arthur scored 18 for Memphis, which has won two of its first three games for the first time since the 2005-06 season. Mike Conley had 14 points and matched his career high with 11 assists.
Wayne Ellington led the Timberwolves with 15 points, and Kevin Love had 14 points and 13 rebounds. Sebastian Telfair scored 12.
Minnesota finished with 30 turnovers.
Hawks 99, Wizards 95
ATLANTA
Joe Johnson scored 14 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and the Atlanta Hawks remained unbeaten.
After opening with wins at Memphis and Philadelphia, the Hawks gave the home fans their first look at a team that features largely the same roster as last year’s playoff team but a new motion offense under rookie coach Larry Drew.
