The Warren City Schools Foundation and the Warren City School District announce Raiders Go Green.

It’s a districtwide recycling program that helps the environment, garners community support and will assist in generating funding that will benefit students of the Warren City School District.

Raiders Go Green kicked off last week and is a new ongoing initiative that encourages the recycling of empty ink-jet and laser printer cartridges as well as old cell phones.

The foundation will receive credit for the recyclables, thus enabling the foundation to generate funding that will ultimately benefit district students.

All district school buildings and the Board of Education will be equipped with donation boxes for used printer (ink-jet/laser cartridges) and old cell phones.

This ongoing recycling effort is something that area businesses as well as the greater community can participate in while helping both the environment and making a difference for Warren City School District students by simply recycling the items that they may buy frequently and/or have around the home or office.

Those interested in joining or contributing to the Raiders Go Green recycling program may call the Warren City Schools Foundation at 330-841-2321, ext. 7232, or 330-219-1791.
