Have you ever seen a fire truck fit inside a school library?

In honor of National Fire Prevention Week, the Poland Fire Department loaned its fire truck book mobile to Dobbins Elementary for two weeks. The mobile, which is decorated as a fire truck, enables students sit inside, while looking through books pertaining to fire safety.

To add to the fire safety theme, librarian Lois Dunnavant put together special activities for students to help reinforce what they learned about fire prevention. Kindergartners and first-graders read books, colored pictures, played games and put puzzles together with the theme revolving around fire safety.

The mobile was returned to the station Oct. 14.
