Playoff-bound United downs South Range

HANOVERTON
Josh McLaughlin’s 139 yards passing on Friday helped the United High football team clinch its first playoff berth in a 13-6 victory over South Range.
McLaughlin’s completions included a 60-yard touchdown toss to Josh Miller in the fourth quarter for the Eagles (7-3, 5-2 Inter Tri-County League Tier One).
Travis Gray sealed the Eagles’ win with a 16-yard touchdown run with 1:38 remaining.
McLaughlin completed 8 of 18 passes and rushed 16 times for 74 yards. Gray and Tyler Dunn each had 66 yards rushing.
Floyd Kenney’s 2-yard touchdown with 10:38 remaining put South Range (7-3, 5-2) ahead 6-0. Kenney rushed 19 times for 71 yards while Philip Arsuffi had 14 carries for 55 yards.
Columbiana 58, Lisbon 0
LISBON
Nick Roncone had 171 rushing yards on 21 carries, and teammate Austin Barbato had 114 yards on 10 rushes for the Clippers (5-5, 3-4), who scored in every quarter. Zac Barnes led the Blue Devils (1-9) with 24 yards on 11 carries.
East Palestine 14, Springfield 7
EAST PALESTINE
Mike Salyers ran for 136 yards and a TD and also threw for 53 yards to help East Palestine (3-7, 2-5 ITCL Tier One).
Derek Smith added 63 yards rushing and a TD as the Bulldogs took a 14-0 lead with 6:22 left in the fourth quarter.
Brad Ferraro scored on a 1-yard run two minutes later to cut the deficit to 7 for Springfield (3-7, 1-6).
Ferraro hit 9 of 18 passes for 107 yards and Tommy Mastran carried 15 times for 82 yards.
Western Reserve 44, Leetonia 14
BERLIN CENTER
Donnie Bolton rushed for 167 yards while Jeff Clegg passed for 157 for the Blue Devils (9-1, 6-1 ITCL Tier Two), who clinched a home playoff game.
Bolton scored touchdowns on runs covering 9, 44 and 10 yards as the Blue Devils raced to a 44-0 lead. Clegg completed 9 of 12 passes including touchdowns to Ryley Sheptock and John Rosati.
For the Bears (2-8, 1-6), Devan Miller rushed 23 times for 154 yards including a 55-yard TD. John Van Giesen recovered a blocked punt for the other score.
Sebring 40, Jackson-Milton 12
SEBRING
Dakota Wagner’s 42-yard touchdown run and Corey Bana’s 55-yard scoring pass to Corey Garcia led the Trojans (4-6, 2-5 ITCL Tier Two). Also scoring for Sebring were Seamus Johson on a punt return and interception return, Aaron Oblisk on a 33-yard run and Tyler Rinehart on a 5-yard run.
For the Bluejays (1-9, 1-6), John Gherardi scored on an 11-yard run while Brennen Morrison recovered a fumble in the end zone.
