Lakeview outscores Champion in shootout

The scoreboard at Lakeview High probably was still warm into the wee hours of the morning after the Bulldogs and arch-rival Champion gave it a workout Friday night.

Junior quarterback Anthony Franco passed for 340 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran for 124 yards and two scores as Lakeview (8-2) topped Champion, 60-47.

Lakeview was ranked seventh in the Division IV, Region 13 computer standings going into the game and will start the playoffs on the road next Friday.
