The marriage of Karen Marie Kennehan and John Robert Fitch was solemnized by the Rev. Gregory Fedor at noon June 5 in St. Joseph Church.

The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center before leaving for a wedding trip to St. Pete Beach, Fla. They live in Austintown.

James and Rita Kennehan of Austintown are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of John and Lori Fitch of Austintown.

The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a halter neckline and basque bodice. It was enhanced with re-embroidered lace, pearls and crystals and featured a castillion train.

Light blue gowns were worn by Janet Vlaiku, the bride’s sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Shannon Fitch, a sister of the groom; Heather Kennehan and Sabrina Segretario, the bride’s cousins; and Megan Leiter. Flower girl was the groom’s sister, Savanah Fitch.

Serving as best man was the groom’s cousin, Gabe Morgan. Groomsmen were Jimmy Kennehan, a brother of the bride; Josh Fitch, the groom’s brother; Nicholas Mikula, the bride’s cousin; and Mike Beets, a cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was the groom’s cousin Garrett Rossi.

Mrs. Fitch graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is a coordinator with Canfield Giant Eagle.

Mr. Fitch, a stock clerk at Canfield Giant Eagle, is pursuing a degree in engineering at YSU.
