Hours: 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.

Phone number: Call 330-534-3812 for a ride.

Location: Dispatchers are based in the senior citizens center in the back of Hubbard Administration Building, 220 W. Liberty St.

Dispatchers: Viola Telega, coordinator, and Christiana Askerneese, Karen Gleydura and Maria Hubbard. Substitute is Leah Putnam.

Drivers: Lyle Edwards, Chuck Koebel, Curtis Myers and Joe Vukovich. Substitutes are Glen Buzzard, Ken Kelly and Steven Smith.

Riders’ comments: Audrey Coursen of Hubbard Manor described the service as a life line. “If this didn’t exist, I would be stuck,” she said. “You can’t image how helpful this has been.”

Maxine Simms of West Park Manor has been using the van service for five years. “The van makes a difference for me,” she said. “Some of us couldn’t afford cab fare.”

“I couldn’t live without it. It’s a life saver,” said Alice Reber, who lives in her own home but no longer drives. “Not driving took half my life.” She noted that the “terrific service” is a courtesy of the drivers, who help the riders take their packages into their homes.

Rose Marie Coletta of Hubbard Manor said she would have to walk to do her errands if the van service didn’t exist.
