Gospel music

The Greater Youngstown/Warren Urban League Guild is presenting the gospel musical production, “The Glory Train,” at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at Fifth Avenue Community Church, 1361 Fifth Ave. The play features the Tabernacle Baptist Church Team Ministry.

Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 Jacobs Road, will observe Men’s and Women’s Week with the theme, “Christian Men and Women in the 21st Century Equipped with the Armor of God.” The Rev David Moncrief is pastor.

Programs planned are: 4 p.m. Sunday with co-Pastor Leda Paramore of Christian Revival and Discipleship Center; 7 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Gena Thornton of Grace African Methodist Episcopal Church in Warren; 7 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Paula Lockett-Harris of Church of Hope Spiritualist; and 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday with the Rev. Leonard King, United Missionary State Convention president of Cleveland. Various choirs will perform.

Celtic music

A special concert of sacred and Celtic music featuring vocalist Colleen McNally Harris and harpist Harper Kirk is planned from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 at St. Patrick Church, Oak Hill Ave. Harris has been a member of the Youngstown Symphony Chorus and has served as cantor for St. Columba Cathedral for 12 years. Kirk is well-known in a variety of venues.

The concert is free and open to the community. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Rector installation

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will install its new rector, the Rev. Dr. Bradley Pace, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Right Rev. William Persell, bishop of Chicago and assisting Bishop of Ohio, presiding. Father Pace becomes the 13th rector of the 151-year-old church.

‘The Key’ Ministry
