Neighbors | Submitted Mike raulin (left), Ray McCune, Jr. and Rev. Larry Bowald (right) helped pick up trash on state Route 46 between Shields and Kirk Roads Oct. 16. The Canfield Rotary Club cleans the stretch of roadway twice a year.
Canfield Rotarians, dressed in bright, yellow safety vests and gloves, filled dozens of garbage bags with trash found on state Route 46 between Shield and Kirk roads on Saturday.
Members of the club spruce up this part of the area twice a year as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program.
While the club is not the only service organization to participate in clean-ups, it is the only one whose clean-up team is organized by the head of the Green Team, Canfield Rotarian Jim Petuch.
