Buckeyes set for Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS

Two weeks after their only loss of the season at Wisconsin, No. 10 Ohio State (7-1, 3-1 Big Ten) finds itself in another nationally televised night game away from home.

Minnesota (1-7, 0-4) has lost seven straight games, is playing for an interim head coach after Tim Brewster was fired and hasn’t beaten the Buckeyes at home since 1981.

Penn State-Michigan

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.

Michigan standout quarterback Denard Robinson is rested after a bye week and anxious to get back on the field when the Wolverines meet Penn State.

The dual-threat star has struggled the previous two games, but he said he’s recovered from shoulder and knee injuries.

Arizona-UCLA

PASADENA, Calif.

Whether Nick Foles or Matt Scott lines up for the first snap behind Arizona’s offensive line at the Rose Bowl, the 15th-ranked Wildcats already know their offense is likely to click.

UCLA is certain Richard Brehaut will be its quarterback, yet the Bruins have no idea what to expect from their popgun Pistol offense and a defense that’s about to get another Pac-10 test.

Oklahoma-Colorado

NORMAN, Okla.

Cody Hawkins’ return to the Colorado starting lineup brings no added comfort to No. 11 Oklahoma.

It was back in 2007 when Hawkins outdueled fellow freshman Sam Bradford in a 27-24 victory by the Buffaloes in Boulder.

NOTRE DAME-TULSA

SOUTH BEND, Ind.

Today’s game is being overshadowed by the tragic death of Declan Sullivan. The 20-year-old junior was videotaping the team during practice Wednesday when the hydraulic scissors lift he was on fell over during a windy day.

PITT-LOUISVILLE

PITTSBURGH

The Cardinals (4-3, 1-1 in Big East) and Panthers (4-3, 2-0) are teams that are very similar, right down to their matching overall records and inconsistent play. Many of their statistics are close to identical.
