3 local chiefs honored

CLEVELAND

Three local police chiefs were honored by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Boardman Chief Jack Nichols, Warren Chief Timothy Bowers and Youngstown Chief Jimmy Hughes were presented the 2010 William French Smith Award for Outstanding Contributions to Cooperative Law Enforcement from the U.S. attorney general’s office.

The chiefs are part of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, which is led by the U.S. Marshals Service.
