Cincy woman charged with giving kids drugs

CINCINNATI (AP) — A Cincinnati woman is accused of giving marijuana to her young children, the second such case locally in less than two months.

Cincinnati police arrested 25-year-old Valerie Cecil on three counts of corrupting another with drugs. She was released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

WCPO-TV reports that she allegedly had a 7-year-old daughter smoke marijuana, and that the substance also was in the systems of children ages 4 and 1.

A telephone number listed for Cecil wasn’t in service today and no attorney was listed for her.

Last month, a suburban Cincinnati woman pleaded not guilty to charges accusing her of giving her 2-year-old daughter marijuana, then recording cell phone video of the girl smoking.
