PIPP Plus, a new Percentage of Income Payment Plan program for natural-gas and electric-utilities customers, will begin Monday. PIPP Plus is available for customers of Ohio’s regulated electric and natural-gas providers whose gross annual household income is at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. The program allows eligible customers to make affordable payments toward their utility bills while reducing old debt by making timely monthly payments. When payments are made on-time and in-full, the remainder of that month’s bill will be waived, and customers will receive credit toward any old debt. All debts will be eliminated after 24 consecutive payments.

To participate, customers must verify their income with their local community-action agency annually and agree to participate in energy- efficiency programs. Customers enrolled in the current PIPP program will automatically be enrolled in PIPP Plus. For information, visit www.winterheat.ohio.gov.

‘Boorito’ at Chipotle

Chipotle Mexican Grill has partnered with Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution for a $1 million fundraiser designed to highlight the horrors of eating processed food. This Halloween, visit any Youngstown Chipotle restaurant between 6 p.m. and closing time dressed as a horrifying processed-food product. Chipotle will treat costumed customers to a burrito made with wholesome, naturally raised ingredients for only $2. Proceeds from the “Boorito 2010: The Horrors of Processed Food” program will benefit Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Chipotle also will host an online costume contest for the most-horrifying processed-food costume. To enter, take a photo of your costume at a Chipotle restaurant on Halloween and post it online at www. chipotle.com/boorito. One grand- prize winner will receive $2,500, and five runners-up will get $1,000 each. Twenty honorable-mention winners will win a burrito party for 20 guests at the Chipotle location of their choice.
