Trumbull County man dies in Mercer, Pa., traffic accident
MERCER, Pa. — A Trumbull County man was killed at 2:36 a.m. today after he drove the wrong way on Interstate 80, Pennsylvania State Police reported.
Paul G. Warner, 23, of Warren was westbound in the eastbound lanes for unexplained reasons, state police said.
State police said he hit a tractor-trailer driven by Alexandre Stoilkov, 62, of Schiller Park, Ill.
After the impact, Warner's vehicle traveled in a counterclockwise direction across the eastbound lanes and his car rolled over. He was ejected from the vehicle, police said.
Mercer County Coroner Brad McGonigle pronounced Warner dead at the scene from head trauma. Stoilkov was not injured, police said.
