WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, are sponsoring a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade Chinese lunch and supper from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday. This week’s menu will feature Shanghai chicken and five-spice beef (not hot spice). The cost of the meal is $5. No reservations are necessary.

FRIDAY

Bristolville United Methodist Church, corner of Routes 45 and 88, will have its annual fall roast beef dinner, bazaar and bake sale from 4-7 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes, green beans, desserts and a unique salad bar. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4-12, and free for kids 3 and under. Carryout dinners are available. The church is handicapped-accessible. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005. Tickets for a craft raffle will be sold for $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be Saturday.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road S.W., Newton Falls, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, desserts, bread and coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. For takeouts call 330-898-5607. A bazaar and bake sale will be from 3 to 6:30.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal will feature eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, sausage, breakfast rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, juice and coffee. Sebring VFW Post 6730, 106 E. Ohio Ave., Sebring, will have a steak fry from 5-8 p.m. A 16-ounce porterhouse steak dinner will be $14; and a 10-ounce strip steak dinner, $12. Meals include a baked potato, salad bar, bread and butter. Takeouts will be available; containers are provided.

SUNDAY

The Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., will have an Oktoberfest roast pork all-you-can-eat buffet from noon until all sold out. Knights of Columbus, Council 3930, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd, Austintown. The price is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-9, and free for children under 6. Dinner includes meatballs, tossed salad, bread, butter, dessert and a beverage. A pumpkin carving contest will provide $25 to the winner. It’s open to kids in grades 8 and under. Must take your own pumpkin from home, already cleaned. Children who participate will eat free. A 50-50 raffle also will take place.

Reedeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will be serving spaghetti dinners from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $6. Also featured will be a raffle and a bake sale.

The women and men of Ruth Shrine will serve turkey dinners from noon to 4 p.m. (or until sold out) at Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Poland. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts available.

Women’s Ministries is hosting an Election Day luncheon and bake sale at Liberty Assembly of God, 6779 Belmont Ave., Liberty, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eat in or carry out. Homemade soups, meat loaf sandwiches, hot dogs and baked goods will be available.

Boardman High School Band and Orchestra is conducting an annual citrus sale through Nov. 10 with pickup scheduled for Dec. 11 at the school’s fine arts and performing door.
