Allegiant again to use Sanford airport in Fla.

Allegiant Air announced Tuesday it will change course regarding its flights between the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and Florida starting Feb. 1, 2011, and return to using Sanford International Airport.

“Our customers prefer the convenience and simplicity of Sanford, and we’re pleased to respond to their overwhelming requests to return all of our Orlando service to the airport,” Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company president, said in a news release.

The Youngstown- Warren Regional Airport was one of 10 locations that were switched from Sanford to Orlando International Airport starting March 4, 2010.

Sanford International Airport is in Sanford, Fla., about 33 miles northeast of Orlando International Airport in Orlando.
