Ridge ousted from district volleyball tournament

A magical season for the Mineral Ridge Hight volleyball team came to an unceremonious end Monday in a Div. III district semifinal match.

The Rams were defeated by Berkshire by scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-12.

The Rams (23-1) were led by Katie Fife and Megan Ben, who had 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Lea Whitmer had 11 assists, and Brittney Bevilacqua added six.

Abby Riffee had 12 digs and Ben had 14.

Teammates Meghan Garland had six blocks and Fife had eight.

Riffee also had an ace and four points.
