BOARDMAN

The doctors and the staff at WellnessOne of Warren and Boardman are having their third annual food drive now through Nov. 24.

They will accept donations of nonperishable food items at either location. The Warren office is on state Route 46, across the street from the Waffle House restaurant. The Boardman office is located on U.S. Route 224 behind the Acura car dealership.

In return for donations, the doctors are offering all exams and X-rays for free. Call 330-505-3515 for more information.

Petty-theft charge

Jean V. Briggs, 54, of Holly Drive, Youngstown, was charged with petty theft, criminal trespass and probation violation after police found her at 11 p.m. Sunday taking items out of a donation bin at Goodwill Industries, Belmont Avenue. She remains in Trumbull County jail after failing to post a $10,000 bond; a warrant was issued for her arrest after she did not appear for a domestic violence hearing.

At Goodwill, she told police: “What’s the big deal if I take it? It’s been donated anyway.” Police said the items belonged to Goodwill and returned them to the collection bin.
