Youngstown police investigating assault at downtown club

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating the reported beating of a 25-year-old Youngstown woman while she was at a bar in the downtown area.

The woman told police she was at the Love Lounge on Federal Street at 2 a.m. Sunday when three woman approached her and began beating her in the head and body, knocking her unconscious. The woman could not give officers any description of the attackers.

The woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.
